What's New for the 2020 Ford Edge?
The 2020 Ford Edge is a vehicle to check out if you like compact crossovers that can handle themselves well, feel sporty, and come with many conveniences. For 2020, Ford has kept the Edge quite similar to the 2019 model year with a few exceptions. The lower trim models feel a bit more luxurious, joining the others in the line-up to have dual-zone climate control, a ten-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and an eight-inch color touchscreen. All models also have a reverse-sensing system to boost safety. For anyone who chooses the Edge Titanium, there's now an Elite package. This comes with Brunello door inserts and contrast stitching in brick-red. The exterior color choices have been changed slightly, with new colors being Atlas Blue, Dark Persian Green, Iconic Silver, Rapid Red, Desert Gold, and Star White.
The Edge has a comfortable cabin with two rows of seating. Under the hood is either a 250-horsepower V4 or a twin-turbo V6 with 335 horsepower. That latter option is found only in the Edge ST, a higher-performance model that would appeal to anyone with a taste for speed. The other trims are the SE, SEL, and Titanium. All-wheel drive is available if you need extra traction in the winter months. In terms of technology, the cabin feels modern, especially in the SEL and higher trims. In these models, there's the opportunity to get a voice-activated navigation system. Additionally, FordCoPilot360 Technology brings a greater sense of safety to all versions of the Ford Edge. The SUV can alert you if you're veering out of your lane or about to change lanes with another car in your blind spot. Plus, having traction control makes a big difference since the Edge will make necessary adjustments to prevent you from losing grip.
