Last year's optional 2.3-liter, EcoBoost four-cylinder engine is now the Explorer's standard power source. Output has increased to a formidable 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. While the standard version makes 365 horsepower, unique tuning enables the high-performance ST trim to develop 400 horsepower. What's New for the 2020 Ford Explorer?
Like the original Explorer that first hit the scene more than 25 years ago, the new model features a traditional RWD system. However, you can opt for an intelligent four-wheel-drive system.
