In 2021, Ford made history with its reboot of the famous Bronco. Now that your attention is rooted in this model, you may wonder if the Bronco has any improvements in the 2022 model year. While many aspects of the Bronco are unchanged between 2021 and 2022, one important update has been made. The 2022 model year introduces the Raptor trim level. Specific details about the Raptor have not been released, but you can expect it to be a powerful SUV with extensive off-road capabilities.
All other aspects of the Ford Bronco are unchanged. The Bronco has a boxy profile with an upright stance, so it is easy to differentiate on the road. The 2022 Bronco is equipped with a large central display screen, a heated steering wheel, and a fold-down rear row. Additional features include hands-free driving, smartphone app integration, USB ports, heated seats, a navigation system, a keyless ignition, a sound system, and more.
The Bronco is a four-wheel drive vehicle that is available in six trim levels. Two powertrains are offered across those trim levels. The first few trim levels available are equipped with a 2.3-liter, turbo four-cylinder engine that generates 300 horsepower. A seven-speed manual or auto 10-speed transmission is available with this engine. The alternative powertrain is a turbo 2.7-liter V6 gas engine that produces 330 horsepower. It is only offered with an automatic transmission. Select or all trim levels for 2022 also have hill start assist, auto emergency braking, terrain management with five unique modes, tow hooks, trailer sway damping, trail turn assist, hill descent control, and other premium mechanical features that combine to deliver a fantastic driving experience.
