What's New for the 2022 Ford F-150?
The F-150 is a full-size truck that many drivers in the Medina area have enjoyed driving. This popular model broke into its 14th generation last year. With significant updates to the F-150’s style, capabilities, and features at that time, Ford has only made a few improvements to the 2022 F-150. It has simplified the engine offerings by eliminating the diesel 3.0-liter engine for 2022. Now, six powertrains are available across the trim levels. These engines are all linked with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The base trim level comes with a 3.3-liter, V6, 290-horsepower gas engine. A turbo 2.7-liter V6 gas engine is offered that produces 325 horsepower. You will find a 450-horsepower, turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine in the Raptor trim. The top trim levels have a 400-horsepower, V8, 5.0-liter engine. In addition, a hybrid 3.5-liter V6 engine is available in select trims, and it gives you 430 combined horsepower.
The exterior style of the 2022 Ford F-150 has not changed, but there is a new Black Appearance package available with select trim levels. This gives you shadowy, dramatic accents and finishes throughout the interior and exterior. The body style introduced in 2021 has a tall, flat profile that exudes confidence. It also has well-defined sides with accentuation over the fenders and across the lower door panels. The headlights flank the large grille have a stacked look, and are partially outlined by an LED light ribbon.
The F-150 has a wonderful selection of features across its trims. Select trims give you Recaro sport front seats, a power tailgate, power running boards, massaging and heated seats in the front row, heated rear seats, a 360-degree camera, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, and an adaptive system cruise control, and other equipment.
