Ford has a new pickup truck in its lineup for 2022. The Maverick is a small truck that sits under the Ranger in the Ford lineup. While it uses the same platform as the Bronco Sport and the Escape, the Maverick delivers the performance you expect from a Ford truck. More than that, the Maverick has all of the personality that you want your next Ford to have. Its style includes prominent headlights flanking a bold, two-tone grille and flowing lines from front to rear.
The Ford Maverick’s base engine is a hybrid 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine that delivers 191 horsepower. There is also a turbo 2.0-liter, a four-cylinder gas engine that offers 250 horsepower. It provides excellent towing and payload numbers across both powertrains. The Maverick’s capabilities are enhanced by front-wheel drive and continuously variable auto transmission.
There are three trims available for the 2022 Ford Maverick, and all have a crew cab design. Interior base features include a six-speaker sound system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, an 8-inch touch display screen, an air conditioner, and cloth upholstery. Other base-level features are forward collision mitigation, LED headlights, and 17-inch wheels. Higher Maverick trim levels for 2022 add a power-locking tailgate, cruise control, alloy wheels, upgraded cloth or simulated leather upholstery, keyless entry, a dual-zone auto climate control system, a push-button starter, rear USB ports, and a sliding rear window. Several optional packages are available as well. These packages may give you household-style power outlets, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, heated seats, a spray-in bed liner, the Sync 3 infotainment system, a heated steering wheel, evasive steering assist, adaptive cruise control, towing equipment, off-roading equipment, the Co-Pilot 360 safety suite and more.
