What's New for the 2023 Ford Escape?
The Escape has been a preferred crossover in the Ford line for years and is now better than ever. The 2023 Escape shows off improved styling on the front and rear ends. At the front, the black grille has a radiant mesh pattern and is topped by a thin chrome bar. This bar connects to the pointed tips of the LED headlights. The front is also designed with tall, slender air vents that hold the fog lights with some trim levels. At the rear, headlights have an angled, parallelogram-style shape. The thick bumper has black molding, dual exhaust tips, and a skid plate.
The trim options for the 2023 Escape have expanded. There are now seven trims: the Base, Active, PHEV, ST-Line, ST-Line Select ST-Line Elite, and Platinum. The first three gas-powered trims receive 180 horsepower from a turbo three-cylinder engine. This system has optional all-wheel drive and an auto eight-speed transmission. The more advanced gas engine is a 250-horsepower, turbo four-cylinder unit with standard all-wheel drive. You can also choose a 2.5-liter hybrid engine that generates 192 total horsepower. The PHEV system offers 210 combined horsepower. Both of these efficient engines are paired with a continuously variable transmission.
Another vital improvement to the 2023 Ford Escape is the introduction of a larger display screen for the new Sync 4 system. Other features offered in the Escape are unchanged. These include an automated parking system, a head-up display, leather material, a premium B&O sound system with ten speakers, a sunroof, ambient lighting, a navigation system, a wireless charging station, smart device app connections, heated seats, memory settings for the driver's seat, a keypad entry system, a remote ignition, a heated steering wheel, and others. The Escape is also available with advanced driver's aids. These technologies are a surround-view camera, automatic rear braking, adaptive cruise control, parking sensors, evasive steering assistance, a lane-keeping system, and a blind-spot warning system.
