What's New for the 2024 Ford Expedition?
With room for eight passengers and strong capabilities on the road, the 2024 Ford Expedition delivers the functionality you need from your next full-size SUV. The Expedition's fourth generation debuted in 2018, and a few mid-generation improvements have been introduced for the 2024 model year. On the exterior, for example, some minor changes have been made to the design, and Wild Green is offered as a body paint color for the first time. In addition, front tow hooks and the optional Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow packages are offered with the Limited, XLT, Platinum, and King Ranch trim levels. The exterior style continues to show off a pinstripe line crossing the sides from end to end and a rectangular theme across the LED headlights and grille. Both standard and long wheelbases are available. Exterior equipment that continues to be offered on the Expedition includes power running boards, up to 22-inch wheels, two-tone paint, all-terrain tires, a panoramic sunroof, a power liftgate, and others.
Inside the well-appointed cabin, the 2024 Ford Expedition is now available with USB-C charging ports in the second row. In addition, all trims come with a year of complimentary Connected Navigation service. The 2024 version also has all of the impressive features available in the 2023 Expedition. These may include lane keeping, a 12-inch or larger touch display screen, a blind-spot alert, a push-button ignition, wireless smart device app connections, a power-folding function for the third row, a tri-zone climate control system, leather upholstery, adaptive cruise control, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, second-row captain's chairs, heated seats for the first two rows, a wireless charging pad, driver's seat memory settings, a surround-view camera and many additional features.
The strong capabilities of the 2024 Ford Expedition hold steady. The lower trims benefit from a 380-horsepower, V6, turbocharged 3.5-liter engine with a 10-speed auto transmission. The mid-level trims come with a 440-horsepower, enhanced V6 engine. It pairs with an off-road suspension, low-range gearing, an electronic limited-slip differential, and a heavy-duty radiator. A 400-horsepower V6 system is also available, and an adaptive suspension system optimizes its performance. With the optional Stealth Performance package available exclusively with the higher trim levels, the Expedition comes with a sport suspension.
