What's New for the 2024 Ford F-150?
The full-size Ford F-150 truck continues to evolve in 2024 with modernized exterior styling, new features, and performance updates. On the exterior, the F-150's new look is established by a reshaped hood and several stunning grille designs. These grille options combine with updated LED headlights and the introduction of other lighting elements. There are also a few new wheel designs for the 2024 model year. The Pro Access Tailgate is introduced in 2024 with a side-mounted hinge for easier access to the bed. Exterior features are trim-specific and may include up to 22-inch wheels, a trailer hitch, powered side mirrors with heat, two-tone paint, power running boards, trailer backup assist, a power tailgate, a tailgate work surface, a tailgate step, and others.
In 2024, the F-150 loses its diesel engine and its base V6 engine. The 2.7-liter, V6, 325-horsepower engine is not the entry-level option. Other powertrains available are a 5.0-liter, V8, 400-horsepower system and a turbo 3.5-liter, V6, 450-horsepower engine. A hybrid V6 is also available and generates 430 horsepower. Some trims have variable steering assistance, several terrain driving modes, an off-road-tuned suspension, and a locking rear differential.
A few new features are introduced in the 2024 Ford F-150. These include hands-free Blue Cruise driving, a larger infotainment system screen, and a head-up display. Otherwise, the F-150's available and standard features are unchanged. The entry-level F-150 XL has a digital instrument panel, keyless entry, a Sync 4 infotainment system with a 12-inch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, forward collision mitigation, and a lane departure warning. Some of the other items available in higher trim levels are a blind-spot warning, lane keeping assistance, rear auto braking, leather upholstery, power-adjusting pedals, remote start, a dual-zone auto climate management system, heated seats for both rows, an AC power outlet, wireless device charging, an auto two-zone climate control system, a heated steering wheel, a navigation system, a Bang & Olufsen premium audio system, remote engine start, a 360-degree camera, massaging front seats and several other high-end features.
