The Ford Ranger steps boldly into new territory in 2024 with the launch of its fifth generation. This midsize truck has long been a popular option for Wellington-area truck shoppers who want something smaller than an F-Series truck. It continues to have a SuperCrew cab configuration, a four-door body, and a 5-foot bed, making it practical for most needs. In 2024, three trims are offered to suit various budgets and expectations. The Ford Ranger's new generation introduces improvements to the powertrains, available features, and design.
The modernized look of the next-generation 2024 Ranger is established by a moderately curved nose, tapered hood, and deep grooves across the side panels. At the front end, the redesigned 2024 Ford Ranger displays a black grille with a dual-bar accent running linearly. This bar trends outward from the oval Ford logo in the center of the grille to the headlights. The headlights are styled with a three-sided LED ribbon wrapping around stacked bulbs. Exterior features available with the Ranger are fog lights, heated side mirrors, and towing gear.
The interior of the 2024 Ford Ranger also displays an updated look with a tall, tablet-style display screen in the center stack. This screen is accompanied by touch controls and innovative air vents for the automatic AC system. The display screen allows you to access hands-free calling, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and additional technologies. The Ranger is also available with four USB ports, soft-touch surfaces, a household power outlet, wireless charging, heated seats, an 8-inch digital driver's display, active parking assistance, evasive steering assistance, post-collision braking, a push-button starter, and adaptive cruise control.
A new powertrain is introduced for the 2024 Ranger. This is a 315-horsepower, V6 EcoBoost system. The 270-horsepower, four-cylinder EcoBoost engine continues to be available. These engines are linked to an auto 10-speed transmission. Additional equipment available for some of the 2024 Ranger's trims are a trailing arm, coil-over rear springs, Fox live valve shocks, a lifted suspension, all-terrain tires, and an enhanced chassis.
