2020 Ford Edge vs 2020 Chevy Blazer

Serving Wellington, OH

When Chevrolet introduced the Blazer in 2019, it became a direct competitor to other midsize crossovers on the market. The Ford Edge has been among the top choices for crossover shoppers for more than 13 years. As part of your model research, you need to know how the 2020 Edge compares to the 2020 Blazer.

Exterior

The 2020 Ford Edge is a second-generation model that was impressively redesigned last year with modern elements across its exterior. While it has a curved front end and rolling angles throughout the profile, its sides have upper and lower personality lines for added character. Thick lower-body molding and a geometric feel throughout the grille, headlights, and lower-front vents add to the Edge’s unique qualities. The 2020 Blazer, on the other hand, has deep sculpting over the sides with prominence over the fenders. The front end shows a large grille that flares out as it reaches for the lower front fascia. This grille has a chrome accent bar that expands as it connects with the headlights.

Interior

The Edge is the more spacious and more powerful of the two models. Its many interior features include cruise control, a urethane steering wheel with heat and mounted functions, four power outlets, a programmable garage door opener, a high-level audio system, a sunroof, and more. While some of these features are in the Blazer’s smaller cabin, the differences in standard equipment on a trim-by-trim level are substantial.

Performance

Five trim levels are available for the 2020 Ford Edge. The entry-level trim comes with an I-4 engine that produces 250 horsepower. Front-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission with overdrive are standard at this trim level. Higher trim levels have a V6, 2.7-liter, 335-horsepower engine. All-wheel drive and an eight-speed transmission with both overdrive and auto-manual tech are standard. In comparison, the 2020 Chevy Blazer has four trim levels, and most of these trims are available with front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The entry-level powertrain is a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine connected to front-wheel drive, and a nine-speed auto transmission. If you drive the Blazer, your crossover will deliver 193 horsepower.
