Serving Wellington, OH

If you are deciding which Ford SUV to get for your next car, both the 2021 Ford Escape and the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport are top choices. They are similar in some respects, but they also have unique characteristics that might help you choose one or the other. The 2021 Bronco Sport borrows its design influence from the Ford Escape, but it is also the more off-road-ready SUV of the two vehicles. With the Escape, you can look forward to a refined, composed ride and a state-of-the-art interior packed with many safety aids and leading technology. The Escape also adds a hybrid powertrain in 2021 for select trims, and it comes with more safety features on some trim levels, including traffic sign recognition.

Performance

Several engines are offered on the Ford Escape for 2021. The base engine is a three-cylinder engine with a 1.5L displacement. This engine comes with an eight-speed transmission. You can also get a hybrid powertrain if you select the Titanium and the SE trim levels. With this engine, you can expect a power output of 200 HP. An automatic transmission is also standard. The SEL trim and higher-level trims get a turbo engine capable of 250 HP. All-wheel drive is available. With the Ford Bronco Sport comes a choice of two engines. The first is a turbo three-cylinder capable of 181 HP in power and 190 LB-FT in torque. You'll get an automatic transmission as well. The second engine, which powers the Badlands trim and up, produces 250 HP and 277 LB-FT in torque. The Bronco Sport offers two types of four-wheel drive.

Appearance

The Ford Escape comes with 17-inch steel wheels to start with, and it adds more exterior features, including chrome accents and LED lighting as you progress in trim level. Wheels up to 19-inch inches and black exterior accents are other appearance highlights of the higher-end Escape trims. The Bronco Sport has a more rugged design with roof rails, rounded headlights, and a boxy frame reminiscent of the Bronco's origins dating back to the 1960s. The Bronco Sport also has multiple roof options and removable doors and windshields.

Features

A WiFi hotspot is included with the Ford Escape, along with climate control and a handful of safety aids, including lane departure mitigation, forward collision avoidance, and blind-spot monitoring. The Bronco Sport gets a seven-inch touchscreen interface and the Ford Co-Pilot360 safety package. Leather upholstery and a sunroof are upgrades for both Ford SUVs.
