Serving Wellington, OH

Are you trying to decide which of the impressive Ford models is right for your next purchase? The Ford Escape is a compact crossover with more than two decades of history impressing drivers with its functionality and style. The Ford Edge is a midsize crossover SUV that sits a slot above the Escape in the lineup. With more than 15 years on the road, the Edge has proven its ability to delight drivers as well. Our Harrison Ford sales reps are available to help you compare the possibilities.

Performance

The 2021 Ford Escape is available in four trim levels, and there are three powertrains offered across these trims. The base engine is a 181-horsepower, turbo 1.5-liter, three-cylinder engine. For the top trim levels, you can choose the 250-horsepower, turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine. The Escape is also available with a 2.5-liter hybrid engine that produces 200 net horsepower. On the other hand, the Edge is available with two powertrain options across its five trim levels. One of these engines is a turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that generates 250 horsepower. The top-of-the-line Edge comes with a twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 engine that produces 225 horsepower.

Appearance

The Ford Escape is visually a smaller vehicle, and it expresses its sporty personality throughout every inch of its exterior. The sides are perfectly sculpted with deep accentuation, and this combines beautifully with the angled hood and the sloping roof. The round nose has an encompassing grille, and the teardrop-shaped headlights angle sharply toward the rear. The 2021 Ford Edge has a more linear profile with flatter surfaces over the hood and roof. The sides have two angled personality lines for definition. The grille has a hexagonal shape, and its angles correspond well with the hook-like LED bar that runs through the headlights.

Features

The Ford Escape and the Ford Edge are well-appointed with many similar features. However, because the Edge sits in a high spot in the model lineup, you can expect it to have a few extra features on a trim-by-trim basis. Features found in both models are a heads-up display, a panoramic sunroof, Co-Pilot 360, ambient lighting, parking sensors, smart device integration, an auto climate management system, a wireless charging pad, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, and more.
