2022 Ford Maverick vs 2021 Ford F-150

Serving Wellington, OH

The Ford F-150 has been named the 2021 Truck of the Year thanks to its combination of modern features, exceptional performance abilities, and other vital factors. In 2022, Ford introduces another truck to its lineup, and this is the Maverick. As a midsize pickup truck, the Maverick is placed directly below the F-150 in the lineup. Which of these well-designed models will you decide to make your own?

Performance

The 2022 Ford Maverick is offered with a hybrid 2.5-liter engine. This engine is capable of towing up to 4,000 pounds. At the same time, its fuel economy rating edges up close to 40 miles per gallon. The 2021 Ford F-150, in comparison, is available with several powertrains. The introductory trim level has a 3.3-liter V6 Ti-VCT engine that produces 295 horsepower. The F-150 Raptor has a 450-horsepower, twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine on the top end of the trim lineup.

Appearance

The Ford Maverick is the smaller of the two models. In addition to having shorter dimensions, it has a stronger angle through the hood. The Maverick nose is defined by C-shaped LED headlights linked by a bar element, and the lower-front fascia stands flush with the rest of the nose. The F-150, on the other hand, has a more robust definition through the hood, grille, and lower front fascia. The headlights feature a pair of rectangular units stacked vertically.

Features

The F-150 is a higher-level truck with a higher price tag. As a result, it comes with several additional features that are either not available or that are options in the Maverick. Depending on the Ford truck trim level you select, your new model could have an auto climate control system, wiper-activated headlights, a power tailgate, smart device integration, a sound system, and a full array of additional features.
