Serving Wellington, OH

The full-size Ford F-150 is the truck many Ohio drivers have preferred over the last several decades. With your focus on upgrading to a new F-150 soon, the only decision in front of you may be about which trim to select. For 2023, the F-150 is available in nine trims, and the first two options are the XL and XLT. Both of these trims are offered with three-bed lengths and SuperCrew, regular, and SuperCab options. Your decision will be easier as you learn more about the Ford F-150 XL and XLT.

Performance

The base powertrain for the XL and XLT trims is a V6, 3.3-liter gas engine that delivers 290 horsepower. However, you can upgrade to one of the F-150’s mid-range powertrains for improved horsepower and torque. In 2023, the F-150 XL is now available with the Rattler off-road package. It is exclusively available in the SuperCab and SuperCrew cab styles, and it gives you all-terrain tires, a front differential, a transfer case, and more skid plates. The FX Off-Road package is also available, and it adds a drive mode for rock crawling, an off-road suspension, hill descent control, and an electronic locking rear differential.

Appearance

The Ford F-150 has a road-conquering design thanks to its broad, tall dimensions and solid definition running across the sides. The front makes a strong impression with large, stacked headlights accompanied by a bent LED light ribbon on two sides. Between the headlights, the expansive grille trends inward slightly at the sides. The bumper has an upturned look in the center to define the truck’s strength further. The 2023 F-150 XL comes with 17-inch steel wheels. The XLT trim gives you aluminum wheels, a power-locking tailgate, heated and powered side mirrors, and foglights.

Features

There are numerous differences in the cabin and safety equipment between the XL and XLT trims. The XL offers Apple CarPlay with Android Auto, a single-zone climate management system, a Sync4 infotainment system, an 8-inch central display screen, forward collision mitigation, a lane departure alert, and a few other features. The XLT trim builds on these features by adding voice controls for the Sync4 system, lane keeping, rear automatic brakes, and a blind-spot monitor.
