Powerful Performance

With this edition of the Ranger, you can take your pick among four different trims and three engines, with most models coming standard with a turbocharged 2.3-liter that delivers 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. The intermediate engine, which is available for XLT and LARIAT models, is a 315-horsepower 2.7-liter that generates 400 pound-feet of torque.

Then there’s the Raptor trim and its muscular 405-horsepower 3.0-liter engine, an adrenaline-inducing choice that delivers 430 pound-feet of torque. Four-wheel drive is available for most models and comes standard on select ones. Opting for the FX4 Off-Road Package gets you even more terrain-tackling extras.

Cabin Luxuries and Design

Inside the cabin, multi-adjustable bucket seats come standard up front and, in upper trim levels, have power-adjustability, lumbar support, and thermal settings for keeping cozy. The rear seats also offer a heating option, and you can take your pick between many upscale seating fabrics, like premium cloth and leather trim. Dual-zone climate control, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and an under-seat storage area under the rear seats are also available.

The vehicle’s design is ready for tough tasks with LED bed lighting, zone lighting, spray-in bed liner, and both soft and hard tonneau covers all available. A power-locking tailgate and automatic on/off headlamps come standard, and while front tow hooks can be found on every 4×4-equipped model, other off-roading features are available, including steel bash plates and paint protection film.

Advanced Tech and Safety

Some of the many tech features found inside this pickup include a Wi-Fi hotspot, multiple USB ports, a 12-volt power outlet, and the SYNC 4A infotainment system. The infotainment system offers voice-activated calling, wireless streaming audio from smartphones, access to satellite radio channels in select trims, and available turn-by-turn navigation assistance.

A suite of standard driver-assist features also come with this truck, including the Auto High-Beam Headlamps, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, the Rear View Camera, Trailer Sway Control, AdvanceTrac, and the Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Enhanced Active Park Assist, and a 360-degree camera are all available, while select trims come standard with a digital rearview camera, reverse sensors to make parking easier, the Blind Spot Information System, and the Lane-Keeping System.
