The 2025 Ford Mustang is a proud part of an American automotive dynasty. It retains the spirit of the original, muscular 1960s sports coupe while embracing modernization. The traditional fastback coupe and a soft-top convertible body style are available across a variety of trim levels, letting you tailor-fit your Mustang to your driving preferences.

Modern American Muscle Under the Hood

The base powertrain of the new Mustang is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that delivers 315 hp. This pairs with Ford’s proprietary 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with paddle shifters. This provides a more than solid base for the modern Mustang, but even more power is on offer for those after a more spirited drive.

Opting for the Mustang GT trim sees this powertrain replaced with a 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 engine, which can pair with a 6-speed manual transmission with rev matching to deliver 480 hp. The Dark Horse trim sports a modified 5.0-liter V8 that produces a staggering 500 hp.

Iconic Design

Cosmetic touches and the functional design of the 2025 Mustang make sure it’s as eye-catching as any of its predecessors. Sporty-looking 18″ x 8″ machined-face aluminum wheels with high-gloss ebony black-painted pockets come as standard. Other exterior features like the dual bright exhaust with rolled tips, LED projector headlamps with LED signature lighting, and the shark fin antenna all contribute to the striking, aggressive aesthetic of the Mustang.

Optional extras let you better embrace and celebrate the unique heritage of the Mustang. You can add hood and side stripes or over-the-top racing stripes to complete the iconic Mustang look.

Interior Refinement

The cabin design of the new Mustang is a pleasing mix of contemporary and retro. Touches like the leather-wrapped gear shit knob evoke the classic Mustangs of years past, while drivers and passengers enjoy modern conveniences like the optional dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control or the intelligent access with push button start.

A 12.4″ digital cluster and a 13.2″ center-stack touchscreen are arguably the focal point of the interior. From this screen, you can access a thoroughly modern infotainment system. The Mustang is powered by Ford’s SYNC 4 software and has a number of impressive features. FordPass Connect with 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot comes as standard, as do USB ports for smartphone charging.

Smart Safety Technologies

Technological innovation isn’t limited to the infotainment system. The new Mustang also boasts a comprehensive suite of safety and driver assistance features, courtesy of Ford Co-Pilot360 Technology. This includes standard features like:

  • Lane keeping system
  • Pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking
  • Rear view camera
  • Rear parking sensors
