What's New for the 2019 Ford Escape?
The Ford Escape is a compact crossover vehicle first released in the US, in 2000. In terms of popularity, the Escape is only second to the F-Series created by Ford. Over the years, the Escape has been redesigned three times. The 2019 Ford Escape will be part of the line's third generation. In 2018, Ford introduced big changes for the Escape including the addition of a Hybrid series and many intelligent driving benefits. Features introduced in 2018 are being reshuffled and redistributed for 2019. Escapes debuting in 2019 will include all the extras added in 2018 and will be slightly larger too, which will provide more leg room.
It's expected that the 2019 Ford Escape will be the last of the model's third generation with the new generation beginning with next year's model. With that being said, the vehicle is getting quite a few new features. First off is new car exterior colors including Agate Black, Baltic Sea Green, and Sedona Orange. Several features that were only available with elite trims are now standard for other trims including the roof crossbars and the panoramic vista roof, which allows for great views anywhere.
Ford's comfortable ActiveXTM seat material is now standard on more models including those in the SEL trim. One touch up and down windows are extremely convenient for drivers and passengers and now available standard on SEL trim and SE. An interior cargo cover was only available for some trims in 2018, but for 2019, it will be a factory invoiced accessory, and is perfect for protecting precious cargo. For 2019, the FordPass Connect 4G modem will be standard for SE and up trims. The wireless, smart system replaces the SYNC Connect.
