What's New for the 2019 Ford F-150?
Ford has been creating the F series truck since 1948 with the F-150 making its debut as the 1976 model year. It has been a very popular work truck since its release. Outfitting a new F-150 to your liking should be quite easy. There are so many configurations for this truck that you should be well satisfied with the choice that you make. Ford has been producing the F-150 for satisfied customers for many years and the 2019 model will definitely make people happy.
There are just a couple changes for the 2019 F-150. The addition of a new engine for the Limited trim model and new shocks and trail control for the Raptor. The engine in the Limited is a duo-turbo 450 horsepower V6 displacing 3.5 liters. An all-wheel-drive is an option that should be taken to help handle this excessive power. Zero to 60 time is just 5.1 seconds and the quarter-mile under 14. Weighing in at 5600 pounds, this is a very impressive speed.
The Ford F-150 leads the class in towing power and hauling capabilities. There are six engine choices with all of them putting out plenty of power. In all trim levels, the cabin is comfortable and roomy. It gives a smooth ride and the infotainment system is easy to see and operate.
The 2019 F-150 is roomy and loaded with features. Some optional and standard items include vented and heated seats, carpeted floor mats, grab bars, and real gauges to monitor oil pressure, transmission temperature, and a tach. There is also a heated and powered steering wheel and column with memory for tilt and telescopic adjustments.
Of course, the F-150 is loaded with many standard and optional safety features available. There is a built-in stability control to help prevent rollovers, curve control assistance, and a rear looking camera with hitch assistant. The F-150 has collision alarm with emergency auto braking and a lane assistant system. There is a four-camera system which links together for a 360-degree view. This lets you check around the truck for hidden objects before you drive.
There is also a diesel version of the F-150. Ford makes use of V6 turbo diesel giving out 250 horsepower and 440 pounds of torque. Fuel economy is around 28 on the road and 20 in town. It is extremely quiet for a diesel with a real truck feel while driving it.
