Many drivers will be looking to get the base 2.3L EcoBoost engine, which packs a formidable 310 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. While some folks will enjoy the six-speed manual gearbox?s new rev-matching feature, the all-new 10-speed automatic transmission is designed to further optimize performance and fuel efficiency. Thrill seekers will ultimately choose the legendary 5.0-liter, Coyote V8 engine. It develops a captivating 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
New Ford Mustang Models and Packages
Perhaps the biggest news for 2019 is the release of the iconic Bullitt Mustang. Performance engine tuning increases this special-edition model?s output to 480 horsepower. Ford?s available MagneRide suspension system and an active-valve exhaust come standard as well. You also cannot forget about the Mustang Bullitt?s exclusive exterior styling. A blacked-out mesh grille and a special set of 19-inch black wheels with red brake calipers come standard. This limited-production model is available in two signature colors: Dark Highland Green and Shadow Black. On the inside, aluminum shift pedals and a cue ball shift knob give the Mustang Bullitt an especially racy feel.
To give drivers another exciting appearance package to choose from, Ford has reintroduced the popular California Special package. It outfits the Mustang with unique five-spoke wheels and exclusive graphics, which pay homage to the original 1968 model. Suede-trimmed seats make the California Package even more appealing.
After introducing a fully digital gauge cluster last year, Ford has further elevated the 2019 Mustang by offering a new B&O PLAY premium audio system. A 1,000-watt amplifier enables music fans will be able to truly rock out.
